Humpty Contest Winner Presented Big Prize

Cody, age 7, a third grade student at won first place in the 2009 U.S. Kids Cover Art Contest. Cody’s drawing is featured on the cover of the September/October issue of Humpty Dumpty magazine, a U.S. Kids publication.

In addition to featuring the winning drawing on the cover of Humpty Dumpty magazine, U.S. Kids will donate $1,500 and art supplies to Cody's art department in his name.

“This is a great accomplishment for Cody,” said Mr. Brian Kutchak, Principal of Cody's school.

 

School Gets Double Bonus Thanks to Amazing Artists

Cedar Bluff Elementary School recieved $2,000 for its art department this September thanks to two of its artists, Barbara and Jovi. Barbara, who placed first in the 2009 U.S. Kids Cover Art Contest, saw her drawing on the cover of the September/October issue of Turtle magazine. Jovi placed third and his drawing was also in the magazine.

Cedar Bluff Elementary School Art Teacher Jeanne Hardin said, "This is a wonderful national honor. We are appreciative of the support Turtle magazine and U.S. Kids have given art nationwide."
