Gather your family together to make these fun binoculars. Then use your “funoculars” to go creature hunting in your backyard!
You Will Need:
- Paper towel tube, cut in half
- 9-by-12-inch sheet of colored paper, cut in half widthwise
- Safety scissors
- Tape
- Craft glue
- 2 1-by-6-inch black strips and a 3-inch square of black paper
- Markers and stickers
- Hole punch
- 26-inch piece of ribbon or string

What to Do:
- Wrap the paper around each tube and tape. Trim the ends. Glue the black strips around the bottom.
- With seams facing, tape tubes together at the top and bottom.
- Roll the black square to form a 7⁄8-inch (focus) tube and tape. Glue the tube to the top of the funoculars, ½ inch from the edge.
- Decorate your funoculars with stickers or markers.
- Use the hole punch to make a hole on the outside edge of each tube and attach the ribbon.
Parents: Never leave your child unattended while they’re wearing funoculars around their neck.
