A Satisfying Finish to an Awesome Summer!

Olympic gymnast Samantha Peszek returns to college at UCLA this fall as a sophomore. She's blogging about the experience for Jack and Jill!

Hi Readers!

I am so glad to end this school year on a positive note! I was relieved to finish final exams and to begin my summer adventures.

I am traveling all over the country to coach summer gymnastics camp. My first stop was Arizona; what an awesome trip! A bunch of my family members live there. I had the opportunity to coach at Amanda Borden’s gymnastics camp. It was such an honor to coach with her, because Amanda Borden was a member of the 1996 Olympic team that won the gold medal. I remember watching her when I was little. I wanted to be just like her. She has always been and is still an idol of mine.

In my down time in Arizona, I rode bikes with my aunt in the mountains, I got a manicure/pedicure, I swam, and I spent some quality time with my cousin! It was so great to catch up with family, because I don’t get to see them often.

Although, I was having lots of fun in Arizona, I was ready to go back home to Indiana. I haven’t been home since Christmas. I will keep you guys updated on my life back in Indiana. That’s all for now….
