Two Little Leaves

Act out this action rhyme while someone reads it aloud.

Two little leaves
hanging on a branch;
(Hold your arms straight out

at your sides and let your
hands dangle down.)

Along came the wind
and made them dance.
(With arms still outstretched,
make a WHOOSH! sound
and shake your hands up
and down.)

“Help!” said the first leaf.
“I don’t know what to do!”
(Cup your hands around your
mouth like you’re calling for help;
then hold your palms up and
shrug your shoulders.)

“Let go!” said the second leaf.
“I’ll fall down with you!”
(Flutter both hands down
to the floor.)
