With a little help from an adult, you can create this shimmery snow globe for yourself or to give as a gift. Then shake it up and let it snow!
What You Need:
- Clean glass jar with labels removed
- Florist’s clay (found at craft stores)
- Small plastic figure, tree, or ornament
- 1 teaspoon white glitter
- Distilled water
- 1/8 teaspoon glycerin (found at drugstores)
What You Do:
- Press a thick layer of florist’s clay inside the lid of the jar.
-
- Use your figure, tree, or ornament to create a winter scene. Press it firmly into the clay and make sure it is secure.
-
- Fill the jar almost to the top with water. Add the glitter and glycerin. (Glycerin makes the glitter fall more slowly, but adding too much will make the glitter stick to the bottom of the jar.)
-
- Carefully place the lid on the jar and screw it on tightly.
-
- Turn the jar upside down and watch it snow!
