Toothless

I smile a toothless, gummy grin
Below my nose, above my chin.
My gap helps me blow bubbles out
And scoop big spoonfuls in.

I’ve come to love this open space;
It looks just right here on my face.
That’s why next year I’ll miss it so
When big teeth take its place.
