A garden is a quiet place, where trees and flowers grow,

With vegetables and Queen Anne's lace and lettuce in a row.

But when the rain starts falling, the plants all lift their heads.

Listen! You can hear them calling from their garden beds...

"Thank you!" the little pansy trills. "Thank you!" the oak tree shouts.

"Thank you!" cry the daffodils, the peas, and Brussels sprouts.
