Watermelon Star Cake

What You Need:


(Makes 2 servings)

  • Cutting board

  • Sharp knife (for adult use only)

  • Oblong, seedless watermelon, washed

  • 4½ to 5-inch star-shaped cookie cutter

  • Serving dish

  • Light whipped cream in a can

  • 1 cup fresh blueberries, rinsed

  • ½ cup strawberries

  • 1 teaspoon powdered sugar



What You Do:


 
Wash your hands. Have an adult cut a 5-inch-square of watermelon, 3 inches thick. Place the watermelon square on the cutting board. Use the cookie cutter to cut out a star.
 
 
Set the star on a paper towel to drain for a few seconds. Place the star on the serving dish. Carefully squeeze whipped cream around the bottom edge of the star. Dot with blueberries.
 
 
Squeeze whipped cream on top of the star cake. Add remaining berries. Dust with powdered sugar. Stellar!
