Make this patriotic windsock for your porch and watch it flutter on the Fourth of July!

You Will Need:

• Round ice cream container (with bottom cut off)


• Blue and white construction paper


• Pencil


• Safety scissors


• Glue


• Colored glitter glue pens


• Stapler


• Red and white crepe paper streamers (30 inch long)


• Hole punch


• String

What to Do:

1. Draw stars on white construction paper. Have an adult help you cut them out.


2. Glue the stars onto the blue paper. Outline them with glitter glue and let dry.


3. Wrap the blue paper around the ice cream container and staple it at the top and bottom.


4. Staple red and white streamers to the bottom inside edge.


5. Have an adult punch four holes


6. Cut two pieces of string 12 inches long. Thread the ends of each string through the holes on opposite sides of the windsock and tie a knot. Cut a longer string for hanging. Happy Fourth of July!
