These are great for Valentine’s parties or to surprise friends, family members, or maybe a special neighbor.
Parents: Valentine’s stickers are easy for young children to use and they give this craft a nice, finished look.
You Will Need:
• Paper towel tube, cut in thirds
• Safety scissors
• Colored tissue paper, cut in 11-by-11-inch squares
• Tape
• Chenille stems
• Filler items: candy hearts, small toys, a small photo, a note that says: “I Love You” or “I’m Glad We’re Friends”
• Stickers, glitter glue, sequins, crayons
What to Do:
| 1. Center a paper towel tube on two squares of tissue paper. | | |
|
| 2. Fold the paper over the tube and roll it up. Place a sticker or a small piece of tape in the middle. | | |
|
| 3. Twist one end of the paper. Wrap a chenille stem around the paper and twist. Curl the ends of the stem around your finger. | | |
|
| 4. Place the filler items in the other end. Twist the paper closed and secure with another chenille stem. Curl the ends. | | |
|
| 5. Decorate your popper however you like. Outline hearts with glitter glue or add sequins to give it sparkle. If you wish, add the name of the person to receive it. | | |
