Little white house that sits by the sea,
You're just the right size for my family and me.

We slip on our sandals and run out your door
To the gulls in the air and the shells on your shore.
Your yard, small and sandy,
A sprinkling of grass;
The seawater shimmers
And glimmers like glass.
It murmurs and roars; it froths and it foams;
The waves soak the sand
Where the clams make their homes.
Little white house that sits by the sea,
You're here every year for my family and me.
